Our sadness is for ourselves and our loss not for the person who has left us. Let us rejoice in the magnificent heritage of children and grandchildren that she has left to us.

ADIEU MAMA |
December 7, 2007 |
Our Dear Mama, I regret that I did not have the privilege of meeting you before you passed on to the great beyond, I regret that I did not meet a mother that the family has been playing very strategic, significant, consistent, selfless, courageous and sometimes risky roles in the social, economic, legal and political life of our great country. Mama, I regret that I did not have the opportunity of meeting a mother that has produced wonderful children and Konyin who is my friend and I know him to be one of the finest, knowledgeable and one of the most brilliant and articulate lawyers ever produced in this country. Mama, I can imagine you where you are now singing halleluiah chorus of joy to have lived a fulfilled life. Mama, how else can a mother be happy than to have a son like my friend Konyin that I know very well, that you not only ensured that he is educated, but he is well trained. My consolation is that having known Konyin, that is mama’s product, there is the totality of Mama in him.
How else can a mother be lucky than yourself? Because your entire Ajayi’s family symbolizes success, credibility, integrity, hardwork, honesty, good home training and good morals.
Mama. With all these, we are celebrating a fulfilled life, and a life worth living. It is our sincere prayer that the Lord will keep, bless, guide, direct, protect and strengthen those that you have left behind.
Bye Mama as you take your rest that you richly deserve in the bosom of our LORD

PRESS RELEASE
AFENIFERE MOURNS SIR OLANIWUN AJAYI’S WIFE
Afenifere mourns the passing away of the wife of one its patriarchs Sir Olaniwun Ajayi.
Mrs Adunola Ajayi died at 1.00pm on Thursday at the St. Nicholas Hopsital, Lagos.
A devout Christian, loving wife, caring mother, sociable personality and hospitable woman, Mrs. Ajayi lived a fulfilled life that is exemplary and packed with great achievements.
There is no one who ever came across her that would deny her warmth, affection, charm and lively disposition.
This must be a difficult time for Sir Olaniwun Ajayi as he has lost a darling wife. The Ajayi are one of the closest couples ever seen around here.
But we know that his Christian faith abounds in large dose to bear this irreparable loss And when he looks around him and see the wonderful children they both raised together, he will definitely go on his knees to thank God Almighty.
Afenifere therefore mourns with the Ajayi as the loss of a darling mother and wife is a sad experience but at the same time celebrates with them that Mrs. Ajayi lived a wonderful life.
It is our prayer that the Almighty God will be with Sir Olaniwun Ajayi, his children and grandchildren.
May the soul of Mrs. Adunola Ajayi rest in perfect peace as she joins the saints triumphant (Amen).
